Being a bit generous by giving this movie 2.5 stars. Fun to watch, though it is v lazy writing.

I have my reasons, but overall, it is not because Shankar didn't change anything from 3 Idiots while making this remake. The issue lies with some of its lazy writing/direction (which probably should be attributed to 3 Idiots, so this isn't exclusively about Nanban). Retarded child me thought that this was another installment to Tobey Maguire's franchise (I think it was on movies now + they had a small logo/pic with time count running in the corner, I was like wait it doesn't look much like Tobey, but still hey our old panasonic static TV's corner isn't v clear, so it must be Tobey Maguire with a new look)
