The Piano Teacher is fantastic, it follows an unhealthy relationship between a daughter and her mother, as the daughter spirals into sadomasochistic despair. The camerawork is amazing, at times it feels like the shots almost linger too long and we see things we shouldn’t and it almost becomes voyeuristic as we see Erika driven to harm herself in order to gain pleasure. Isabelle Huppert gives a fantastic performance as Erika, definitely one of my favourites. It’s one of the best…
