Edit: I’ve mulled this over and this movie is extremely self indulgent.. extremely on the nose.. idk at first I was like idgaf about the Jewish stereotypes but maybe if I was more empathetic to Jewish mothers and more critical of Ari aster as a Jewish man… bc we(Jewish people) all know this dude at the family reunion.. and hes annoying af.. but movie was still crazy af… the execution was awesome…

watched for first time with a panel after w the man himself which felt like a crazy experience bc so many young ppl(like Me) in audience had not seen it!/ lived thru aids crisis . so homemade and unfiltered in an awesome way . would like to put the words “zeitgeist” and “period piece” in here as well . fags rule o.k.!!!
