This was crazy. Its made like a basic horror movie from this decade, and just from the horror npc dialogue in the beginning I thought I would hate this movie. But when the plot gets going, the two lead actors begin shining and the acting gets phenomenal especially the girl, and the events are insane. Eh. Would’ve been better as a shorter youtube video essay. Also, I don't believe this story whatsoever like why wouldn’t he just run away after being trapped for months. His family was just chill with him gone trapped in a reality show and they didnt try to reach out? Theres behind the scenes discussions that were not privy to and this documentary just felt a bit fake to me. But this is my personal conspiracy theory. Still a decent watch.

Essential viewing. I love this culture. I love their fierceness and creativity and stupidity and humor. Everyone is trying to build an illusion of importance and find community on this wretched earth and I just love that the director gave everyone the respect to share themselves and what they find meaningful.
