Some of the best and gorgeous cinematography and color grading! This really emotionally touched me. The atmosphere and the narration worked brilliantly. Edgerton disappears effortlessly into the role. One of the best characters of the year!!

The portrayal of grief and trauma felt very authentic. Really knocks it out of the park when exploring the many nuances of that experience. He did nothing and everything in his life, faced grief but never got over it, life was never perfect yet he found the beauty in it.

I think everyone would like this and it would speak to a lot of people.

Holy fucking shit. Just as I thought I might’ve been too harsh on Eddington, this happens. 

The greatest storyteller of our time. Managed to pull off the rare occurrence of exceeding its hype. It’s a special thing when every element of a film perfectly works together in a very precise, yet free-flowing way. The score, the editing, the acting, the pacing, etc. Makes almost 3 hours feel like light work. Gonna be thinking about this for a long time. Actually kicking my feet and giggling. 

I can see the headlines already, “ANTIFA Terrorist Film Wins Best Picture at WOKE Oscar’s”. Glorious.
