this felt like a very genuine, very tender-hearted, sci-fi reimagining of Princess Mononoke.

you do not deserve to be punished for every single one of your sins anymore than you deserve complete and utter absolution from them either. but if the you that is alive today is trying to be kind to the world around you, to respect it and care for it, and revel in the love you have given and received from those you cross paths with, then you are worthy of living a life the way you choose to.
