i feel like watching those escape games Youtube videos with terrible acting

It’s ridiculous. It’s unbearable to see such an interesting concept ruined like that.
The film could have explored so many things like the horror faced by people living in poor neighborhoods trying to survive the Purge on the streets of America, the way privileged rich white people will prey on minorities, and the hypocrisy of the upper class who created that system while remaining completely immune to it.

And instead we got a terrible thriller that drags on about a rich family going through hell for one night and that’s it. It has nothing interesting to say and just ends up being honestly disappointing.
