going back in time and fighting myself because not only do I barely remember the first time I watched it but why the hell did I rate it so low??? I feel like I must've just been zoning out that night

anyways Johnny Cage I love you in every universe

Johnny Cage reaching genuine flow state by channeling his b-movie acting and martial arts past was the best part of the whole movie 

(by the way I may be late to the party, but this movie immediately made me a MK fan - knowing the games were gonna be even better, which intrigued me enough lore wise to do a deep dive, and now I'm playing through all the games)

this would be more disturbing if david cronenberg's voice wasn't so nice to listen to. like okay doctor cronenberg I'll get back alley top surgery in your garage!

all I gotta say is I wish david cronenberg was more of the focus in this than he was, but I'm just here for more footage from his maximum slay era (I love his hair so much here)

could watch him pace around his office and sing to himself and be overly particular about carpets all day
