the first act was soo promising and finely showcased kane’s strongest talent in finding the right balance between ambiguity and exposition in horror. i really anticipated this aspect to fall flat when adopted beyond the distinct confines of internet horror but it proved me wrong! the found footage segments were arguably the film’s greatest strength and everything still felt fresh to me despite being familiar of its use in kane's original youtube series.
