An-na is such a tragic figure and the most captivating presence in the film: her eyes lost in the water contemplating drowning at the end of the walk with Yeong-il; her upset glances over at him when he's watching Jeong-hui singing (🎵... I smile 🎶); when she later walks away in the hospital, leaving the two liveless fools to each other. I thought the ending was so heartbreaking. A truly forced resolution against everyone's will. That tracking shot towards the sad looking director at the end just says it all.
