Went into this knowing next to nothing about Nirvanna The Band, and I was thrilled! Funny, heartfelt, and honestly kinda mind bending. Not sure how they were able to do many of the things they did in this movie, and I don’t know if I wanna look it up. Don’t wanna ruin the magic. Hoffman’s phenomenal (and watching immediately after “Midnight Cowboy” only greater demonstrated his range). Bancroft gives a tremendous performance, and while she’s really only in the second half, Ross is stellar as well.

The movie culminates with what really is one of the best endings in cinema history. No matter how many times I’ve seen the ending before, devoid of its original context, twisted…
