Watching this feels like a come up, if you let go of trying to rationalise everything it’s much more fun + poignant. Rare aesthetic movie, so surreal and absurd but also strangely/unstrangely familiar 🦠

A lot of telling and not showing, and apparently historically inaccurate at times. Does some really nice things atmospherically and I think the lead performance is great. My main takeaway is that I really just want to read Fanon’s writing
