This was CINEMA!!! As a book reader I think Villeneuve made great choices on when to cut away from the text and lean into the zealotry for maximum impact. The color palettes were astounding. Austin Butler’s Skaarsgard impression moves mountains. I was predisposed to like this after part one but this one ended up going above and beyond.
