Got even more out of it the second time. Really refreshing to me what can be done with great acting, script, and location. It’s a small story, told in a way that makes it feel huge. Totally brought to life by the performances and all the other little details.
At the very least, this film captures what is probably Ian McKellan’s best on screen performance in decades- he brings the same power, grace, and levity of a cheeky yet ancient…
Genuinely don’t know how to rate this, but I’ll say every part with Hugh Jackman had me rofling with campiness. Also those were some good lookin sheep
Not 100% my cup of tea but it’s a miracle when films get made especially a first feature so props for that. And this was really beautiful and highlighted a stunning location. And the child actors were great. Was just hoping for the story told a bit more subtly through the characters instead of having it all spelled out for me.
