Got even more out of it the second time. Really refreshing to me what can be done with great acting, script, and location. It’s a small story, told in a way that makes it feel huge. Totally brought to life by the performances and all the other little details.
At the very least, this film captures what is probably Ian McKellan’s best on screen performance in decades- he brings the same power, grace, and levity of a cheeky yet ancient…
