This is a great picture! Humanistic in nature that solely focuses on the complexities that is human emotions.
What I loved the most about it is a how deep it is at showcasing the “nurture” part of growing up. the character’s traumas got emphasized in their inability of expressing their incredibly strong emotions. A whole lifetime of despair summarized in less than 2 hours. if you don’t get depressed for at least 2 weeks after watching this movie either you’re:
1) white man
2) psychopath
The father figure and the family dynamic, the mother’s clear preferences, the father’s seek for society’s approval showcased greatly in each one of his children like a fingerprint of identity.
