High energy, absurdist, political, crime comedy is exactly what I showed up for and Boots Riley delivered again with his second feature. A flamboyant, psychedelic, fever dream. I live to see films in the theater that subvert my expectations and while this didn’t throw bizarre curveballs quite on par with Sorry To Bother You, it did the trick.
