A tricksy, heartfelt, meandering contradiction of a film that slowly (very slowly!) reveals itself. A killer central performance by Wagner Moura that pulls itself together in the main interview and final scene. A little unfocused and dull in places and splashy and action packed in others. A film of mischief.
Had a good time with this. Some slow and slighty boring bits in the second act and I wanted Emerald Fennell to go further…MORE!!! More Charli songs, more dynamic camera moves, more visuals pushed to 11. Are you a wannabe Baz Luhrnan or directing an ITV costume drama?! Are you transgressive and wildly entertaining or just another adaptation. For all the fuss from the purists I was left wanting something more fucked up.

A deeply deeply bizarre film. A drama and point of viewless film, a not-at all-scary horror crammed with gruesome human torture (and very few zombies) all undercut by broad overplayed performances, unbelievable characters and trippy buddy comedy between Ralph Fiennes and a zombie with a massive cock.
