So freaking effective oh my gosh. Saw this in a theater that was empty with a friend and we were laughing hysterically throughout. The acting is absurdly good all around (especially Inde) and it contributes to a sort of constant awkwardness that makes you so uncomfortable, even in the non-horror scenes. The jumpscares are few but extremely well-placed. This is modern horror at its finest, and it was Barker’s debut feature.
My new favorite vampire movie and it’s not even close. This was so much fun. The music is great. The style is incredible. The vampires are goofy but scary. The story is engaging. The vampires are hot. The conclusion is satisfying. What’s not to like? Tell me one thing wrong with this film. I’m all ears but personally, I found no reason to give this less than 5 stars.
100th logged horror movie!
Lots of fun, very long but I wasn’t bored for a second. I liked the design of Frankenstein when he was in the big fur coat, but he looked a bit too human when he was unclothed in my opinion. I suppose you’re supposed to empathize with him, though, so it may have been the better choice in the long run to make him pretty human-like.
All acting is incredible which was exactly what I expected…
