love the cinematography and the soundtrack

i just appreciate ntozake shange for her poetry and every one of these actresses for their performances here <3 loved every time they entered into their monologues.  was slightly interesting how all their stories tied together, but i felt an awkward disconnect between the abstract language of shange's poetry and the rest of the script.  much prefer her original play/choreopoem ofc.  

also omg didn't know i'd see janet here omggg i've been bumping her albums recently

cuteee and vibrant, went to the theater with sibling and dad (it was one of his fav books recently) totally wanna explore more sci-fi; was quite engaged with that aspect.  this was my first time seeing a movie with ryan gosling!  loved the other members of the audience giving the thumb up/down with the characters.  also one of the main characters is a total surprise in the book, so why were they in the trailer lmao???
