If I Had Legs I'd Kick You

This was not what I expected going in, but it's a solid film. Rose Byrne is great in this, and the overall feel of this whole film is exasperating. It's been a minute since I've seen a film pull at emotions in the way that was done here, and to make it about the unraveling of an overwhelmed mother made it that much more impactful.

As much as the concept is scary with the current US political climate, I thought this was pretty well done. It's lacking in some of the story telling, but overall a solid dystopian flick that kind of came out of nowhere. Based on the trailers I thought this was going to be a more standard, "woman comes in and ruins a family" type film, but they really went the extra mile on it.

Not sure I've ever seen a film with this story/plot before. Wonderful job of creating something new. A good portion of the film you're in the dark on what's going on, and the moves between characters do a nice job of changing up the storytelling. The shift to a non-linear format I think helped elevate this film in a way that just running things chronologically would have missed. Enjoyable over all, and glad to see some more solid work come out of 2025 in this genre.

I thought maybe I'd like this but ffs it's horrendously uninspiring. The "killer" is predictable from the first scene, the main plot points are massively drawn out even for a 90min film. I didn't mind the two main leads really, but there was almost no reason for them to exist. It could have been literally anyone with no back story and the movie could have been pretty much the same film.
