hi
In an attempt to seem “gritty” and “realistic”, Safdie’s portrayal of humanity as cartoonishly, almost humorously selfish and evil, reveals more about the director’s misanthropy than it does about “human nature”. The film is entertaining, but in an “accidentally funny” sense, and the scenes get so absurd that it’s hard to be grounded in the stress of the Safdie’s previous films. I wonder if this movie is mostly being carried by Timothee Chalamet’s star power, because I’m not quite sure…
Zoro wouldn’t fucking do that this movie is horrible
