This movie scratched the itch that watching Mad God gave me. It's blend of artistic styles was mesmerizing.
This movie personifies why I love watching niche genre exploitation films. It does not waiver in its cast and crews devotion to their craft and making a GOOD movie, despite their lack of capital. Belial is a cheap trick by todays standards, but its still animated extremely well. Listening to Frank Henenlotter's new commentary track on the Arrow version gave so much added insight to those shots that it just elevated my experience. Its gory, its trashy, its sexy, its dirty, its funny, its a MOVIE. Watch it if you are a fan of being surprised.
I loved The Mansion of Madness, the surrealist elements, the acting, the story, but this documentary is why even a year later I still vividly remember the movie.
