Not gonna ruin the film by trying to give some insightful review. All I’ll say is I really liked how it’s liminal deterritorialization of memories. And, it’s got some of the coolest direction I’ve seen in a while.
You know what this film would pair excellent with for a double feature due to their juxtaposition and opposition? The Brutalist.
Anyway holy shit … it’s been a great year for horror movies so far.

Eddington is not my favourite of Ari Aster’s films, but I do feel like it’s his best film to date.
This film left me stunned. How does one make a historical picture with all the subtle nuances and contexts of that very specific time period via the framework of a modern western? It’s difficult! But Ari does it. He made 2020 and the events that occurred during those late Spring early Summer days feel like a distant, even surreal, past.…
I love Emerald Fennell’s films and Wuthering Heights didn’t disappoint. I don’t understand why people are so hard on this adaptation. One artist can’t bring their own depiction and inspiration to another artist’s work just because it is Brontë? If that’s the case why weren’t people incensed when Pride and Prejudice and Zombies was made?
Anyway I loved the set decor and lighting a lot, and I love her eye. She captured Jacob Elordi beautifully in many shots - so…
