I feel like there are so many pope movies and shows and I just can’t for the life of me understand why. It feels like such a boring topic and a boring character. That said, this one was one of the better ones. Performances carried it. But yea, I think I’m good on pope content for the foreseeable future.
Also…there’s a line where one of the not popes says the pope is “the most famous person in the world”. I had no idea Messi was the pope 🤷♂️. Chalk that one up to American ignorance, I guess.
