Didn’t expect the two-decades-later legacy sequel from a now-acquired studio to be the most interesting inspection of the fall of American media/critique of capitalism, but here we are in 2026.

Trap Sun, Vox Lux Moon, Mother Mary Rising

Every once in a while I will see a movie where I get a feeling in my chest.  I think it is the feeling that we categorize as love. I absolutely loved this movie.  I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a better blend of spectacle and emotional stakes in a supernatural film.

The broadest and most damning story inspired by international drug trade. Even while spanning three continents, the limited series is able to distill the effects of the drug trade into personal and emotional segments, while the grotesque body count continues to rise. Engrossing and morbid storytelling to the fullest.
