All over the place! Not sure why this crew of talented actors didn’t make this my new favorite movie, but they weren’t able to overcome a jumbled script. Has a couple of fun car chase/action scenes with practical effects. Took wayyyyyyyy too long to get into the “crime” and their investigation, but the last 15 minutes were very entertaining.
What a privilege to be shown even a little snippet of a life bursting with laughter and a deep love. Really enjoyed all of the personal videos from the past and the insights from Martin’s closest friends and family. The doc was put together by friends, so of course it has a bias, but I’m sure a stranger would reach the same conclusions. I don’t know if I’d be standing had I experienced the losses he has in his life, but I’m so glad he could and did/does. I need to get on the Christmas party list…
Eldest daughters unite! Unique take on coming of age, girlhood and the socioeconomic challenges of the working poor. Felt nostalgic in the best way and reminded me just how tough growing up can be. Fantastic performances by a group of young actors. Needed more body spray, but had the perfect amount of VHS.
