didn’t have as much personality as other studio ghibli films

slow pacing. it was interesting, then wasn’t for a while, then it was interesting again and so on in a circle. the film is too long for a predictable and simple plot. bonus minus for ryan gosling he’s lowkey been annoying ever since barbie. otherwise, watchable to an extent.

absolutely phenomenal. this film is a masterclass at encapsulating emotion and the deterioration of one’s mental well being. cinematography and acting at its finest. i’m usually not satisfied with endings, but this one was a 10/10… it was perfect.
