Haunting, but fucking cool as hell. Godzilla is a movie that gives credit to a really good line of "I know writers who use subtext and they're all cowards." You can really tell this was made around the time of the bombings because of not only saying out right but the carnage and destruction from Godzilla mirrors the scenes of the disaster. It's just cool to see the monster, and cool to see the destruction, but also like, extremely haunting. It makes me understand why Godzilla is cool and so beloved. Can't wait to see more.
