I can’t remember the last time a film gave me genuine goosebumps in the cinema. This one did that, and more. I felt uneasy for almost the entire runtime.
It’s rare for a horror film to escape feeling gimmicky or weighed down by clichés. Rarer still for one to get under my skin without relying on cheap shocks or cringeworthy moments. This was unpredictable, genuinely eerie, and crafted with a level of attention to detail that was obvious even on a first watch.
