An Adam-Sandler-style romp made for the gaze of the straight woman.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed this movie on it's own terms. It was full of funny jokes, silly situations, and (mostly) endearing characters. There is nothing wrong with a good old fashioned Comedy/Boys Trip/Ensemble, and Magic Mike XXL fulfilled the genre much better than most; it was replete with with creatively fun situations, and certainly kept my attention, (and not just because of the violently gyrating hunks).
