really trippy. my brain has melted. it feels like the above the influence ad where they melt into the armchair. is there anything left to say that hasn’t been said? probably not. but i’ll share some thoughts anyway. when the cowboy said “hey pretty girl, it’s time to wake up” i got inexplicably excited for the shift. i could’ve kept watching even longer than it went after the reveal. limitless yet claustrophobic. deeply unsettling yet intriguing. an innovative and alluring premise that was also elevated by its stars. Renate Reinsve and Chiwetel Ejiofor played this so perfectly. and also, props to Kane Parsons. i can’t believe a 19 year old made this! i loved hearing he was inspired by Portal 2 aka one of the best games of all time.

a saga! i can’t believe how many years this spans. it’s impressive how it still also manages to feel grounded. a story about friendship and love and war. wild.
