never even heard of this and watched it on a whim. brittany murphy and dakota fanning are such incredible performers.

I am willing to discuss this movie in person.

i felt that the film had the goal of portraying priscilla & elvis’ relationship as priscilla experienced it and i felt it did that very effectively.

priscilla venerates elvis, but the MOVIE doesnt venerate elvis. i wouldnt say it vilifies him either- rather, it shows the abusive dynamic of his unchecked power and contradictory values.

even though it wasnt the most exciting movie, i feel its mortal portrayal of elvis and centering of priscilla make this the best mainstream movie ive seen concerning the rock icon.
