I could spend hours listing all the interesting things about this project (from the idea of ​​making a film about backrooms, to having it made by the guy who made them famous, to keeping the scares at an uneasy level without descending into a banal jumpscare) but if I were to say, beyond the undeniable and obvious increase in overall quality, that these backrooms are more disturbing, original and with a more interesting plot than the ones I've already seen on YouTube, I'd be lying.

To be honest, there are at least two great horror sequences in here (the opening and the Roman Holiday scene) drowned in a sea of ​​cliches, terrible jump scares, bland characters and an irritating plot, incapable even of making a clear decision, constantly teetering between the most banal horror and the most boring road trip.

These days, in theaters, we're celebrating the excellent Obsession, which cost less than a million dollars; this one cost at least ten times that much. This is the true horror.

Naively, I thought the shameful firing of Melissa Barrera was the low point of this project, then, unfortunately, I saw the film.
