A vaguely disturbing character study set in sublime surroundings, this is a look at motherhood in a way that isn’t often portrayed in cinema. We’re fed the idea that women are supposed to be warm, selfless, caring - mothers before individuals - and it is admittedly a little disconcerting to see a different narrative.
