My gothic horror fanfic crossover of Lemony Snicket and Yoga Hosers should have never seen the light of day...

This animation has stuck with me since I was a child. I've been looking for it online ever since I was a teen, only recalling vague aspects, never able to combine the right search terms... but I found it!

Clannad's score makes the film a strange combination of melancholic and dreamy.

One of the most striking films I've ever seen (style-wise). Classic mythic storytelling.

I wouldn't have thought I'd be praising a film for being a well-executed adaptation of a forum post anytime soon... but here we are.

A lot of tension packed into this short film:
The unsettling cold-open leaves you with quite a few questions.
The beautifully constructed shot compositions push you between dark delusion and stark reality.
And the button not only feels like a fitting punch-line... but a low-blow. Is there really a massive online community of guys who think and act like this? Yikes.
