Wonderful. I absolutely loved this. Very of its time in many ways but also feels very ahead of it in others. An amazingly good and empathetic depiction of mental illness for the 1950s, and I was pleasantly surprised to see the harms of institutionalization and the social critique of how society treats those it deems "different" or "crazy" in a movie from this time period. James Stewart also gives an all-time performance in this one. New comfort movie unlocked.
