Some excellent performances, cinematography and writing. Poor advice from the script-supervisor however, when the choppy middle section could have been reworked to focus on some more important interactions. I would’ve loved if we never actually got to attach a face to the ‘Rachel Kemp’ role, and if we only saw the back of her throughout; centring the movie through the two sisters and the father character rather than splitting the focus (visually) amongst the four. Soundtrack was brill and the ending hits like a suckerpunch.
Can’t really begin to iterate how emotional this made me. All the glitz and it didn’t really mean much at all. So ahead of her time, miles and miles in front of the pack really. This is a fantastic documentary, a true celebration of a life so fully embodied. I will be reading every work! ♥️

The amount of 5*s I’m seeing on here for this is wild to me. This is not the best movie ever made, in fact it’s far from that. Is it funny? Yes. Is it culturally significant, very.
