not a perfect film. the first half drags and you feel it.

i had a feeling georgekutty was never going to be a simple man. film to film, jeethu joseph layers him like sediment, and by the third you realize you've been standing on ground that was always shifting beneath you. buddy just rewrote everything that came before it. i loved the complexity. there's a stillness to georgekutty that keeps hiding things from you, and the film weaponizes that stillness like it's been saving it up for exactly this moment.

unless it's mad, passionate, insane, the kind of love that shakespeare wrote in the margins of his own heartbreak, you haven't really felt it yet. if it doesn't ask you to look at someone you thought you knew and choose them anyway in the wreckage of that knowing, where even are you? the world is spinning and there is no sense in standing still. you gotta be as dramatic as one can be.

the writing is insane, the way zendaya starts as the craziest person in the room and ends as the only sane one. phenomenal.
