Worthy intention for a film but materialized as an overly intellectualized construction to communicate some basic (yet profound) insights.

Took all the best sci-fi movies, stripped them of meaning, replaced it with Hollywood tropes, and re-packaged them. 

I put more effort into writing a Substack article that not even 50 people read than they did writing the script of a $200m movie.

Kinda pretty though.

The lonely, complex, and confusing journey of discovering romance

Part 1 inspired opportunism. Part 2 inspired a faith in romanticism. In part 3 was uninspiring.

Jesse (and Céline) grappling with the polarity of being away from their (step) son is artful substance for these two formerly inspiring characters at this stage of their life. Doing it by showing no self-awareness, empathy, or wisdom they connected over in Part 2, isn't the way.
