How odd that a film that features people who are such caricatures that they were bespoke skin would have a protagonist and her supporting cast be so thin and surface level, that I have a hard time remembering their names.

Good politics, mediocre storytelling.

I watched a YouTube video that said we all watch media searching for truth. When something we agree with or feel is true is said or happens or work challenges us and introduces us to a new truth—we lean in.

How do you achieve that level of connection in a film where everyone is lying?

I want to write something really long about all the problems in this movie but I don’t know. I left pretty disappointed. This movie fails from a racial standpoint, from a sex work standpoint, and from a mental health standpoint. Does a movie have to be a pillar of education on every issue it covers? Absolutely not. But it should be at least aware, considerate, deliberate.

This script was not.

I ain’t like this shit at all, man. This shit had me heated. And I only watched cause Anna’s goth as hell sister was being mad rude and demanded we watched it. I’m so upset. Can’t imagine going into someone’s house and demanding we watch something like this. LIKE STRAIGHT UP DEMANDED.

I’m high as fuck and I’m fuming. That’s how heated I am!! Fuck this movie!
