This one is hard to review, in my opinion. I liked the central mystery and vibe, but the movie is overly long, especially in the middle, and I found myself bored after being pretty invested from the start.
The weirdest part, though, is the random absurdity all through the movie. The soundtrack is goofy and cartoonish, the shooting style is very strange (especially any vehicle shots), and theirs a specific moment where a characters eyes bulge and their tongue hangs…
Somehow I noticed less on the second viewing than the first? The dread must have made me extra focused.
Super well made despite being very simple. Great title card.
