You would have thought me, lily, and coop were super fans…… dancing our hearts out in the seat. This movie is probably like 1% accurate bc this portrayed Michael Jackson like he was Mother Teresa but genuinely it was SO FUN!!

The highlight was when a girl was dressed up as Michael in the hall and Lily asked her “So what movie are you seeing?” Or when Noah said super loud “I’m never drinking Pepsi again!” Peak humor moments.

So I must be going insane because I have no memory watching this before and then apparently I did in 2023 according to Letterboxd and my review from then of 3 stars is dumb.

The film felt like a major critique of the sexualization of women in Hollywood but lacked a strong call to action for the audience and Hollywood in general.

Got through half but then there was a worldwide technology breach and all planes were grounded so we had to get off. Never made it to Boston we all just got sent home. But hey glad to see Letterboxd is up and running. HISTORICAL WATCH!!
