Happy to have caught it at the reopening of the Egyptian tonight.
Film was excellent. Definitely a spiritual companion to Killers of the Flower Moon—in that they are intellectual exercises that speak about cinema and their respective auteurs' work—but this one actually succeeds.
The plot of the movie is so absurd that it will leave you dizzy. It’s like watching a performer juggle 50 plates - it’s impressive to see so many things happening at once, but ultimately it’s just a superficial spectacle that lacks substance.
