I want to break this movie down on a molecular level and study how it finds a way to resonate so deeply within me

The horror of living, capable of causing pain and death, and the beauty of life itself growing and burgeoning even still, the quiet moments and unrelenting sequences of torturous euphoric spectacle

Idk any time anno muses about life in any of his works I just feel so whole and alive and ready to move forward even if life will bring more despair

There's been a sort of raised sense of compassion in Andrew Callaghan's work upon returning to the public eye, which makes sense; I'm sure being called out for your own behavior causes you to take a look at what you put into the world.

I admire attempting to understand someone who's been radicalized into the world of the far-right, I think in my own life I've found my self self-estranging from my family at times due to their conservative values…

can confirm: the internet is a dark depressing place that eventually hollows you out til u disappear

this movie played right into the neuroses I've given myself over to lately, and has some genuinely horrifying ghost encounters. early digital/webcam footage is so glitchy, and leaves room for the viewer to guess whether a misplaced pixel is a ghost, or just a wonky screen.

the movie really tugged at my early experiences with the dark side of the internet, not being able to keep myself from looking at something even though I knew it'd cause me psychic damage. perfect for watching right before going to bed
