My favorite genre: what the hell did I just watch

Ridiculous and hilarious and heartfelt and DEEPLY weird.
My favorite Marc Maron movie.

Feels like an hours long panic attack propelled by a cast of mostly mediocre men failing forwards and a seemingly endless supply of capable women navigating the world in spite of them. My favorite character was the chaotic soundtrack. Gonna need a minute to catch my breath after that one.

Gorgeous setting and bizarre characters, I’m only ever pretending I know what is happening, but whatever it is, it’s a little creepy and I love it. This one is sometimes joyful, devastating, unsettling, and strange.
Includes the classic Miyazaki “silly little guys” in the Warawara.
