I found this to be an interesting take on dating in the age of convenience culture and AI and everything we’re living through…young people are raised in a world where they can customize their LLMs and have romantic relationships with AI where nothing is real yet somehow they delude themselves into thinking what they have is real. But when something is programmed (or wished) to be a certain way, there’s no agency, no consent, and when it involves a human rather than machine, it’s suddenly a much darker story.
