“The doctors say she’s locked in.”

I’ll keep this short. I should have known better, but that one sliver of optimism left inside me always thinks there’s a chance. This is complete generic garbage. There is nothing remotely original and it looks like shit. Puke, scream, run, repeat. Extremely boring and way too long. Dreadful.

“You are very beautiful. For you all pleasures should be supreme.”

The third film in Hammer’s Karnstein trilogy, starring Peter Cushing and directed by John Hough (The Legend of Hell House, 1973).

Beautiful production design and costuming here. Cushing is a bit of a madman in this and is excellent as usual. Good first act and excellent finale, but does drag a good bit in the second act. I still prefer the first film, The Vampire Lovers (1970) by Roy Baker, but this was overall an acceptable finale to the trilogy.

Man just watching some parts of this gave me anxiety. Unbelievable that TEN people died - crushed to death at a concert. Imagine being crushed by thousands of people while “Yeah, Yeah, Yeah” autotune is being blasted through giant speakers all around you. Absolutely horrifying. Pure madness. My definition of hell.

As far as the doc, at least Netflix didn’t attempt to make this 8 hours long. If you followed this closely at all when it happened you won’t learn anything you didn’t already know. More from the crowd safety expert would have been nice.

Boring and unfunny. I’m not sure what everyone is going on about with this. Eisenberg plays the same tedious character he always plays, and Culkin is obnoxious and irritating. It’s shot in the most basic way imaginable with absolutely zero style.

By the end I just wanted to get away from these two characters. It felt much longer than 90 minutes.
