Don’t kill me but upon second watch with a lot more distance from the hype there is something  quite Riverdale-esque about it

i was an unpaid extra in this movie when i was 9 and i got food poisoning from the shit they fed us on set. i threw up and the director yelled at me. i felt so seen. so hollywood. so starring role. anyways the movie is as shit as the food.

this is the real gay 80s summer coming of age movie. good riddance cmbyn!

my only real complaints are the pacing (felt too fast at the wrong times) and the bad cgi magic (????) at the end. i was a bit confused, it just didn’t fit the vibe.

the parent/child dynamics in this are just. everything to me. <3 

ps cast & crew were the loveliest at the premiere.
