i’ve been sitting here for 15 minutes since finishing the movie trying to figure out what to write but i genuinely have no words. i think this is the most i’ve ever resonated with a movie in my life. oh my god.

maybe it’s the nostalgia talking but i didn’t enjoy this as much as the original. pacing was way off and jokes didn’t land. 
the visual upgrades were fantastic though.

i’m glad they were able to do a revival without *him*, will branner you and your ass are iconic. 

and jeff blum was doing wayyyyy too much, which is normal but it felt extra this show. 

idk i feel bad being harsh bc this is my favorite starkid show but it just didn’t hit like i was hoping it would.

i think there are genuine criticisms to have ab this movie but i had a blast

i think y’all just hate women and fun

rocky being a puppet, no green screen, ryan gosling being incredible as always

absolute cinema.

the score, the sets, the script, the everything.

this was my first imax movie and im so glad it was.

on a real note this was so fucking cool. it’s good to see bold colors in film again. i loved this so so so much. weird in the best ways. ALSO THE MINIATURE AND STOP-MOTION WORK??? obsessed. sucks that i waited so long to see it in theaters bc i already wanna rewatch it. 

my first boots riley film and it did not disappoint.
