trash.
and yea I get it....still trash.
the fact that someone had the balls to green light a movie like this, release it exclusively in theaters when it dropped, and for it to not only be loved but successful as well.....tells me that movies on the big screen with shitty poocorn and annoying people on their phones who don't know when to shutup, are nowhere close to becoming obsolete.
I love this movie. it's all over the place in the best ways, it takes chances and it's extremely smart. the fact that people like this actually gives me marginal hope for humanity.
this is a terrible star wars film. d+ corporate capitalism, safety pass, ez doll sales, toys plus, no heart, nothing special, no feelings, not one true special nostalgic or sentimental shot etc.. J F you could have and should have done better. i'm NO exec but i'm pretty sure i know that cgi hutts do NOT work, especially when they speak fluent english.
what are we doing here?
dad/daughter morning at the movies. she knew all the backstory and lore, i did not nor did i have any idea this was a youtube phenom before it was a movie.
GREAT time and a very unsettling feeling the entire runtime. i'm still not sure i know what happened, but i'll be thinking about it and doing the research on the backend and that's always a good sign. from what little i know about the director this is quite the accomplishment, and he's getting butts in the seats big time so well done!!
def worth seeing on the big screen if you can.
rewatch 6.6.23 - even better the 2nd time!
a 1000% pure big screen delightful theatre experience.
very few middle trilogy movies, any genre, know their role as a middle chapter, while simultaneously telling a full middle chapter story while still serving the trilogy as an actual middle chapter without resolution. this movie knows it's role and completely sticks the landing.
you can easily say this is the best spider man movie, you can legit say this is the best animatedβ¦
bullet train is the cannonball run of movies set on trains and this is meant as a compliment, and i think that was the point when making it.
it's fun, funny, smart, good action, it's talky, larger than life characters that are not supposed to be real people, good story and the acting is great.
bullet train is going to be this generation's tango & cash and people are going to look back one day upon a TNT rewatch and say....damnβ¦
